I am now officially A+ Certified.  I'll have to wait a bit for it to register, but that's the easy part.

I just found out that the River City Brass Band is holding auditions on trombone later this month.  They don't want people to send tapes, just one-page resumes.  While it's easy to get my comp-sci resume down to one page, I'm kind of clueless how to get my music one down that far.  Does anyone here (redqueenofevil and ceallaighgirl, I'm looking at you) have an example I can ( Read more... )

I just mistakenly sent out resumes to Chatham and Carlow with a cover letter from a completely unrelated job I applied for months ago, forgetting to change the necessary info before I sent it.  At least Chatham was understanding enough to confirm my intentions, as the e-mail subject line and my resume reflected the correct job ( Read more... )

I never take it as a good sign when I feel the need to e-mail a place I've interviewed to see what the "eff" is going on with hiring discussions.  That means it has taken longer than they said it would, and they're probably waiting to hear back from someone else as to whether they accept the job or not.  What else is new...
